An international scientific conference on the topic “Theory, Methodology and Modernity of Comparative Legal Research” was held

The Research Institute of Shikhutu University, the Institute of Comparative Law, and the University of Milan, Italy, jointly organized an international scientific conference on the topic of “Theory, Methodology and Modernity of Comparative Legal Research.” At the conference, 12 presentations were selected from works submitted by scholars and researchers from domestic and international universities, research institutes and scientific organisations, and these presentations covered comparative legal theory, methodology, The presentations were notable for incorporating new findings in comparative legal studies, historical development trends and judicial reform, as well as for their focus on national and international experiences, legal systems and human rights protection. The papers covered topics such as national and international experience, legal systems, judicial reform and trends in human rights protection. Shihihutu University, within the framework of the European Union’s ERASMUS+ programme “The “Comparative and European Union Law in Mongolian Higher Education Institutions” project is being successfully implemented for the second year, and one component of its activities is this international scientific conference. In his remarks, the Director of the Research Institute, Dr (Ph.D.) Professor B. Narmandakh, said: “Our school places special importance on developing comparative law research in Mongolia, having established a Centre for Comparative Law and regularly conducting policy-level research. This conference has been an important step in expanding academic cooperation and in raising public awareness of research in this field,” he emphasised. The research papers submitted to the conference will be compiled and made available to the public.
